Education and Human Services (DAYS) Teacher Education Program is the development of a Student Teaching Grading Rubric for students to use throughout their formal studies and as a guide for their teacher evaluations. Students completing this work have made it a part of their studies, and will use the rubric during the next three years of their courses. All students completing this work will be expected to present their grade distributions as part of the course evaluation, and will also be invited to participate in a research project with their peers. The rubric addresses' student learning, expectations, accountability, and evaluation criteria, with several rubrics and tools to assist teachers and students. The class that creates this rubric will be able to use the rubric to evaluate their students, and will use the rubric as a guide when writing their evaluations. This rubric is a work of personal project, and is open to all U of L DA's with experience in student teaching and teacher preparation. It is for students currently enrolled in courses taking place in Fall of the 2013 Spring term and up to Fall Spring 2015. In order to create this rubric, your class will need to have approximately one hour of class times each week throughout the academic year of Fall 2012- Spring 2013. While this rubric will have a number of questions, please keep in mind that the rubric provides guidelines which need to be interpreted and followed. The rubric can be found in PDF download format below. The rubric will be completed and approved by the University of Louisville DA's within the next 24-48 hrs.
