In the case of QSO-2, these additional hours (3 hours per week of lab work) are to be completed by the student, with at least 3 hours (or the equivalent of a 3rd year experience) to be completed by the faculty member(s) guiding the study.
4th year students are expected to present a research proposal for each F32 required section and will complete these requirements with 3 units, or equivalents under supervision, of research (F32 and/or QSO-2) per week and 1 unit, or equivalents under supervision, of laboratory (F32 and/or QSO-2) per week.
