If you have applied in person via a Post Office box, please bring along your original passport photo (not a photocopy of it), your documents, and/or €100 in cash.
There is a separate application form that you must also download and complete, and return with your application forms. The information that we receive from your original passport picture is used when verifying the details on your passport. The passport is not returned to you.
Note: If you are applying for a permanent residence card, you must complete three separate application forms (see table below for the details). If you have applied at our VCF branch (CBD) please also bring with you your passport photo, original documentation, and €100 in cash.

You must be able to show evidence that you:

Have access to the UK.
Maintain an established relationship with a UK Citizen or permanent resident.
Are currently and continuously resident in the UK. Please note you do not need to keep a current address in the USA.
Can support your claim for access to the UK. However, you must meet the following criteria:
You must currently remain in the UK after your temporary absence (as above) and not yet return to the UK, be eligible to remain in the UK by virtue of permanent residence, and be capable of claiming benefits in the UK.
Your reasons for leaving must be related to the reasons stated in your passport, or your employment is temporary. This may include temporary business failure; work-related holiday; or any other activity which does not meet the definition under immigration law.
You must maintain an established relationship with the UK by virtue of a family relationship.
