(4) The document may also contain documentation that conforms to the applicable standards and standard practices of the Party to which it is addressed, or that is in harmony with that Party's standards, rules or regulations, or, when this Annex is applicable, is harmonized. (5) The document may be issued, after publication of its standard or, if applicable, after the publication of the Technical Document, if the technical documents and required technical specifications have been published in a scientific or technical journal or other publication or have been approved as having sufficient scientific or technical merit to be considered for publication. (b) In its application, the Party shall provide appropriate mechanisms and channels for ensuring the authenticity of information in the document, including through the use of appropriate means for identification of documents of a type or version specified in paragraph (a) or (d) or of any other type or version of the document. The Parties further agree that documents shall be published in a manner that ensures that the document remains accurate in every respect, and that any defects, errors or omissions relating to such accuracy are corrected. The Party concerned shall make the corrections when such corrections are required, taking into account the circumstances of the document and the circumstances of the publication. The Party concerned may provide any additional requirements for verifying the accuracy of the information in a document provided the Party concerned has fulfilled the other provisions of paragraph (a). © Documents shall be authenticated when authorized by an authority competent to receive and authenticate certificates and reports on the origin and authenticity of documents, whether a document is required to be authenticated or not. This authority may be a competent authority of the Party concerned, or one of its national authorities. (d) In the case of documents that contain technical data that are not otherwise covered, the Party concerned shall determine the means of authenticating such data on its own authority.
