Students who wish to live off campus must submit an online Request to Live Off Campus form on their first day at the Aquinas campus (not after they have met the criteria for an exemption). Students should review the policy for details. Students who wish to move to another residence hall because one no longer holds their current residence will have to notify the department/college. Students who are eligible for the special exemption and live away from Aquinas College need to use the online application. If the student qualifies, s/he will receive a decision on the exemption within 10 to 14 days by regular mail. The deadline for receiving a decision and living off campus is November 1st, depending on the student's program and the availability of rooms. The Aquinas College Residency Policy does not contain guidance regarding exceptions to, or waivers from, the policy. We will not be responsible or liable in any way for any consequences that may result from using this information. Students are free to take on additional programs at their primary residence hall as they see fit, and to stay at more than one residence hall. Students can sign up for a program elsewhere in the Aquinas College system and attend the new program if they are not registered at Aquinas College (or they can move to another residential hall before the deadline is up). All first year students who live off campus are expected to attend the Aquinas College residence hall for at least the first semester and to live in the same room as their parent or legal guardian. The Aquinas College Residence Policy does not contain guidance regarding exceptions to, or waivers from, the policy. We will not be responsible or liable in any way for any consequences that may result from using this information. Students are free to take on additional programs at their primary residence hall as they see fit, and to stay at more than one residence hall. In addition, students are responsible for obtaining approval from their parent or legal guardian before any non-Aquinas College residential program can be attempted. This approval should be obtained prior to an application being submitted to any residential program. Students also should have an understanding of how an Aquinas College student's student life is structured to assist them in gaining approval during the application process and in the first semester upon moving off campus. Students who are registered in the Aquinas College major (Liberal Education) are responsible for meeting all degree requirements and taking all required courses. Students must also have a minimum grade point average of 2.4 across the first six months of study at Aquinas College.
