Applicants must be an adult student currently enrolled in college or university and have a minimum 2.0 grade point average from high school. The BAHIA scholarship fund is available for students pursuing an associate degree. The applications must be submitted between May 1st and June 30th of the school year. The deadline for the selection of a recipient for each award will be announced at a later date. For the current year, the maximum award is 1,000. Applicants will be notified of their selection date and time at the BAHIA banquet (September 15, 2018) prior to the award ceremony (October 6, 2018), and notified of their annual tuition in due time. The scholarships shall be awarded in a manner that is proportional to the student s financial need. The BAHIA scholarship fund will be used to supplement any student s undergraduate education and will be awarded in such a manner that students remain current on their undergraduate tuition, for all students. Applicants must be a current college student in order to be considered. The recipient(s) will receive two (2) 500.00 scholarship for the fall and two (2) 300.00 scholarships for the spring semester (March 1st, April 1st, and May 1st). Applicants should attend a local or national BAHIA event or their local branch office in order to complete the application.
