Applicants must fulfill the following criteria: (1) Completed at least two years of satisfactory course work completed at the time of their application (or have already completed the remaining course work) and completed at least 12 credit hours of graduate course credit. (2) Completed the following by the time of the GRC award announcement: the Graduate Coordinator will be responsible for making the decision regarding students in each of the three areas described below (which are described in detail below). Students are not eligible to be recommended for an award at this time. (3) Received a recommendation from a professor who is either a program member or a faculty member at Connecticut State University. (4) Completed a successful application process to the GRC program. (5) Be accepted to the graduate program and have an anticipated completion date in September 2010. (6) Have made substantial progress since the initial application. (7) Demonstrate potential for continued success as a graduate student at Connecticut State University. (8) Demonstrate leadership potential as an associate professor. (9) Have graduated in 2010. (10) Demonstrate the commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship. (11) Demonstrate the dedication to research of an associate professor. (12) Have the full support of the Director of Graduate Studies, which should be a faculty member in residence at Connecticut State University with a proven record of commitment to graduate students and graduate research.
