During Welcome Week, Buddies are paired with incoming International Students, and they will be responsible for making introductions to International Students, attending the Welcome Celebration, and joining the new International Student Convocation Ceremony and a number of other activities. The initial contact period is intended to give Buddies the most appropriate opportunity to get to know the new Student. All contacts will be strictly between a Buddy and the new student. A Buddy is not obligated to have any form of communication or interaction with the new student during this time period. Students who are looking for a Buddy should check the online Buddy application. HOW DOES THE FIRST-YEAR ADOPTION WORK? An Application for Adoption (A4) is required and must be completed and submitted in the application period.
