Class descriptions can be found below. Fees All participants are required to pay a 60 (30 for each of the four weeks of instruction) registration fee. There are no refundable payments made unless prior written notice of cancellation has been received by Borodin. Instructions 1. The program includes: 1.) Classroom and studio instruction that are fully equipped with a state-of-the-art video camera for studio instruction. 1.) Instructor and staff will wear a safety harness, which are included with class tuition. 2.) A staff safety guard will monitor all courses at all times. 2.) Classes are designed to give participants the ability to begin a new skill within a few weeks of start and to maintain it for the duration of the four weeks of instruction. Students are given specific work to complete in that particular week in order to continue the learning process of a new skill on that particular day. 3.) All instructors provide a one-year basic skating skills education and a one-year safety education. 4.) Instructors are responsible for their own safety and that of all persons in their charge at all times. Class Size All participants are currently divided into three classes of 20, including a large group of advanced beginners classes. Class Times Classes are held every Saturday at 6 pm. Class times may be changed without prior notice. During times scheduled classes may be postponed and/or cancelled. Fees for Borodin College Classes Each participant is required to pay a class tuition of 60 per week for each class (based on the number of students in each class). There are no refundable payments made unless prior written notice of cancellation has been received by Borodin. Student must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to closing for class instruction. Skating Skills Education All participants must complete the six weeks of Basic Skating Skills education. Instructions and curriculum are provided by the USES. Instruction is based on safety standards developed by the USES. Instructors are responsible for their own training activities and practices in all classes. Prerequisite Information In order to enroll at Borodin College your program will need to demonstrate the following: You have passed a USES approved state or national basic skating skills certificate. You have taken a basic skating course at a college or academy, college, or university prior to registering. You are able to self-teach your basic skating skills according to the instructor's instruction. You will remain in a safe environment.
