[Editor's Note: Chris Johnson will not be making the final decision on who gets on the ballot. When you vote, make sure to register your vote with the Election Office.] We are requesting a 100 word autobiography from each candidate for Congress. The following was sent in earlier in the year. “My name is Kevin O'Leary, born and raised in Vancouver Island, Canada. I currently reside in Spring Hill, Florida with my wife and three beautiful children. I've worked in the hospitality industry all my life, and I love having a job and being with my family. Furthermore, I have worked for a number of years in the aviation industry, and I've enjoyed being able to create and share my life's passion for aviation. Furthermore, I have a keen interest in politics both because they're such an amazing profession, and they also provide so many interesting challenges! Furthermore, I'm running primarily as a Reform Party candidate because the Reform Party has been around for decades. The Reform Party used to represent a grassroots movement, and we were a bit different back then. We're not exactly the same people (of course they all are!), but we are, and I believe we still represent an interesting and fresh movement. In addition to running as a Reform candidate, our goal is to attract new and young people to the Reform Party. I've been a member in good standing of the Reform Party since 1994. I have been endorsed by many party members and have received endorsements from some current and former party leadership contenders as well as many party members on the ground. Furthermore, I hope you'll consider voting for Kevin O'Leary in the forthcoming 2010 U.S. Congressional Election as we continue to elect a new Congress. Sincerely, Kevin O'Leary” [Editor's Note: This submission was also received Feb. 4.] We do not know about a candidate for the Republican nomination for the U.S. House of Representatives. The deadline for candidates to file candidacy papers for the U.S. House of Representatives and Federal Election Commission race is March 7, 2009, or the filing deadline for candidates who are seeking more than one office for that election.
