WILLIAMS: I'd like to turn to a motion that the government wants to move forward on, a motion regarding another FOIA request regarding the email of Attorney General Eric Holder. We can't talk about the substance of these other FOIA requests because that would violate the Privacy Act. So, what I'm going to talk about today is the government's motion to exclude from the record a request by Congressman SSA's office for any communications that Holder had with members of the Obama Administration. I'm going to turn to the FOIA section of the government's motion in response to the government's attempt to strike the original request, made by Congressman Henry A. Waxman, for communications between the Attorney General Eric Holder and the White House concerning the Fast and Furious operation. The attorney general was on his way to speak to the press about this ATF operation at the time he was given the document, which he never saw and, frankly, never disclosed to the press or to Congress. But they're trying to get that out of the record. The government wants to have that excluded from the record because I read, as the government points out, that they want to use the document as evidence in a pending judicial proceeding regarding whether the Attorney General Eric Holder disclosed information about the operation to Fast and Furious members. So, it's pretty much, from their perspective, trying to prevent the release of information that the Attorney General Eric Holder may have, in fact, violated the law. But I also want to, as I've mentioned, just talk about some of these new additions from the government, that they claim are in relation to their defense of their motion to exclude, because they are totally missing it in the sense that the only thing being excluded from their filings is the email of President Obama concerning Fast and Furious that Eric Holder did send to the White House when he was on the way to speak to the press on that document.
