The most prominent topics of our year will include: the potential of new treatment strategies targeted towards the molecular mechanisms of neurological diseases; mechanisms of neuroprotective effect of different anti-inflammatory and neuro-respiratory drugs; and the role of cell cycle regulation in the biology of neuro-oncogenesis and progression from chronic disease. We also wish to offer a brief outline of the research activities at the Swiss Neuroscience Center of Neurodegenerative Diseases (SECOND), which is currently developing new treatment approaches targeting neurodegenerative disorders and chronic neurological diseases. The event will be moderated by Dr. Movie Iordanescu, Head of Research at SECOND. It is a unique opportunity for us to engage in an excellent dialogue and exchange ideas on the current state-of-the-art and future developments in Neuro-Oncology and Neuro-oncological therapy.
