This last week the financial planning was complete with all the required paperwork. The Congress will be held in two rooms -- the 1st is the traditional conference room where the event will start. The 2nd room is a modern glass-walled room that will house the large and enthusiastic exhibition hall. The event will continue to the end of June. I look forward to seeing you all in Vancouver! Pang The Vancouver International Weed Science Congress (DISC) is an international meeting of weed scientists and is intended to be an educational forum in which researchers, doctors, and those in the public health community may gather and discuss the various aspects of marijuana health and medical science. The congress is scheduled for June 8-12, 2008 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Click the pictures above To enlarge. The Congress will be held on the campus of the Vancouver Coastal Health Center -- it is located approximately 3.5 km east (6.1 km south of the intersection of the Fraser River and Gore Street and west of the intersection of Gore Street and Broadway), north of the intersection of Gore Street and Main Street in the city of Vancouver. The DISC is scheduled to attract a diverse and international group of speakers, with a high attendance rate (more than 250 attendees in 2012 to date). The Congress will open on Friday, June 8, 2008 with the Congress Breakfast, before the Congress program and the Awards Ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 10, 2008. This will be the last annual conference dedicated solely to the health and health-related aspects of cannabis and related drugs. The Congress is open to anyone who is an activist or academic member of an independent society. There will be no charge for admission. The Congress has been held for the last 5 years. The number of scientists attending and participating has increased significantly.
