The document attached to the email is an investigation report dated 1-4-2011 from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI report confirms the existence of the UL certification standards, specifically (1) UL 2556-1 and (2) UL/CUL: D2550/01 in the “Facts and Findings” section and (3) the UL/CUL mark on the lamps and fixtures. See the attached document. (He did not respond to questions about whether the investigation report had been sent to UL and whether it had been approved by UL or its Certification Authority.) The email concludes by offering the following advice: Since we have been unable to establish any relationship between Lumen Lighting or any of its products and the UL/CUL Mark, the appropriate course of action in light of this situation is to cease use of the UL Marks as a result of the above referenced investigation report.
