This symposium is organized by the International West Lake Experimental Center (swept) [ ] and is sponsored by the Chinese government.
This conference will provide an opportunity for the international community to gain a more
comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of the nuclear fusion process, the
systems underlying the fusion phenomenon and also its potential, and the problems to be
solved if the concept of a fusion free energy is realized. The Symposium is open to researchers from all
over the world and is intended to be held at a venue to be announced soon.
The Symposium's topics will encompass the three major aspects of nuclear fusion; magnetic confinement, a
reactive plasma environment and inertial confinement, and there will also be a seminar on “The
Fusion Energy Project”, to be conducted in collaboration with international research.
This major international conference and summit will bring together some leading experts from different
nations and academia on fusion research, with the goal to better understand the processes and
applications of nuclear fusion.
The International West Lake Symposium will be held at Zhejiang University, the capital of China's northeast, the
largest region of the country. The institute will open its conference hall and reception hall for everyone to
join the Symposium. The event is organized by the Zhejiang University, the Central Academy of Sciences of China, the Institute of Experimental and
New Technology Engineering, and the Institute of Magnetism (TIME).
The main purpose of this event is to promote international and international cooperation in a wider
way, not only in the fields of fusion field research, but also in the application of this research
and its knowledge for developing renewable energy resources.
