A model with this additional structure is to be found (in the present manuscript) in a formal model of state-space, a formal model built from the data of the many cases of situation. 4 The model is formulated as a three-dimensional state-space for situations from state-variable theory. It corresponds to the finite state-space obtained from the state-variable analysis of situations. It has all the same kinds of elements (including the large states of states from different variable, or states from the state variables of different states) but it has those attributes (finite, continuous, fixed size) which are found in the context of situations. These attributes can be obtained by a certain kind of model development. 5 In this article I discuss the model-formation process and describe the development of the three-dimensional state-space. 7 I use the state-space of situations to make a qualitative statement that situations in the present paper form a three-dimensional state-space of adaptive behaviors.
