The competition is a challenge to achieve and maintain a time and distance record for two vehicles, which are chosen at random from the entrants to compete in the race. Two vehicle time records are declared to the satisfaction of the Commission. They are established as follows: 1. A vehicle must be an electric motor vehicle with a battery and a number of electric motor components as described in the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile's (FIA) Technical Regulations for Category 2 electric cars (Art. 16.3-4) and 2) the vehicle to be recorded in time must have been in competition for at least 2,000 km and have been recorded before 3pm local time and must have completed the last part of the distance in a single journey. Any changes in the requirements for these categories must be approved by the Commission. This competition is regulated by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) DETAILED RULES Entrant and/or their duly authorized representatives are required to have obtained a FIA Category 1 or Category 2 racing license. Entrant or their duly authorized representative must have completed a pre-entry check at the FIA Technical Working Party which may be done at an FIA office from 3am to 10pm, Monday to Friday during June/July and between 6pm and 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The FIA Technical Working Party may also be visited on Saturday, Sunday and Monday by Entrant. The driver MUST be an authorized FIA Category 1 or Category 2 racing license holder. Driver's name must be entered on the entry form. The driver will complete a time test form at the Technical Working Party located in the FIA Technical Center before the end of the entry process. In addition, the driver must provide the FCC with a signed copy of their national racing license which will be valid for at least the period of the FIA category in which they compete. It MUST NOT be suspended or invalidated.
