An institution shall not provide sports scholarships for a student-athlete in a varsity sport until such time as the institution and the institution's program of instruction have agreed on an additional sport to be played for athletic scholarships. An institution shall not provide athlete ships in a varsity sport to student-athletes who are not in full-time academic status except where the institution and its program of education agree to another sport to be played for athletic scholarships.
