Candidates who request to be taken off the waiting list are notified that their application will be placed on hold for up to 15 calendar days. After the initial medical examination, a minimum of one additional medical examination is required. This medical examination will be conducted by a licensed physician who is the principal investigator of the medical examination. The new driver who is cleared to take his or her driving examination must pass the new medical examination to be admitted and remain on the waiting list for the driving examination. If the applicant fails the medical examination or if the examiner determines a medical condition exists which will interfere with the applicant's ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, the Examiner will notify the applicant of the applicant's failure to pass the physical examination and of this medical diagnosis so that the applicant can be screened for further evaluations to determine if further testing or medical procedures are necessary.
