Athabasca University is one of the few BSW programs in Calgary that allows your choice of courses with a maximum of 24 credits. See the University Calendar for more information. This is the second year of this program, and applications will be accepted beginning January 1, 2018.
To register, you must submit an Application for Application into the Faculty of Health Sciences through the student portal.
You need to make sure that your transcripts on file by the deadline
Make sure your name and contact information is on the Application Form (for the Faculty of Health);
Submit a completed, signed Application to Become a Permanent Resident (Form 9).
NOTE: If you were admitted with a recommendation from your student's previous program, there may be some additional requirements you need to meet. If you apply after your admission date, you will need to submit a supplemental application (Form 7). If your previous program or degree program does not allow you to write the CPP, your transcripts will need to be sent directly to your Student Center. A list of documents that are required for this application to become a permanent resident is available here.
If your previous course or program is not accredited by Carleton, you must submit all the required documentation in lieu of a letter of permission, including one transcript from every course taken at the university from 1980 to the present, which must include the name and current mailing address you used to register.
