The FUND accepts applications on behalf of the Awards Committee and, to ensure independence, decisions are made by the Board of Governors of UMP. The Fund will be administered by the UMP Office in collaboration with the Executive Management and Finance Committee. To apply, students, alumni, current UMP employees, their approved family members and their selected guests must complete and return the application form, including the appropriate application fee, to UMP Administration, 1140 University Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3J 1M5. The Board of Governors of UMP will accept applications from June 1 to December 31, 2018. The application deadline will be the Monday following the first business day at which the final game results are publicly announced and the award is announced. Applications for 2019 must be submitted by April 27, 2019. Please be advised that all applications are considered confidential. The 2019 FUND Application FORM is located at: APPLICATION FEE — APPLICATIONS CAN ACCEPT TWO (2) FORMULATIONS AVAILABLE. APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2018 AND 2019 FUND WILL BE SELECTED BY AND WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE FUND EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE COMMITTEE. APPLICATIONS ARE SUBMITTED TO USED WITH THE FOLLOWING FORM UNTIL A WINNER IS ANNOUNCED: The Fund will offer several scholarships to deserving athletes for whom it is determined by the Scholarship Committee that participation in this year's annual game should not be jeopardized by financial hardship. One-time scholarships will be awarded to student athletes in any sport who compete in an event in the 2018, '19 or '20 Grey Cups presented by Shaw and Shaw Insurance Limited, or any other sporting event in which the participating athlete may be required to play with a severe disability, or in a situation where the athlete's eligibility for participation in the sport may be compromised due to a medical or safety concern. Other scholarships will be awarded to UMP employees who are injured on the job or during a work related incident.
