Johnson said that the University has been around for more than 100 years, but there has only been one semester in the journal until now. Johnson says that the University doesn't do much to encourage storm chasers, but the town's response is encouraging. The University's meteorology department is a resource for storm chasers and the town is welcoming to them. “The town provides a lot of opportunities for storm chasers,” Johnson said. “People are willing to help, and they have actually helped storm chasers in the past, but I hope they won't have to be as helpful again in the future because the winds are pretty strong.” “People are willing to help.
