In accordance with the Order of Nunavut Act, the Government of Nunavut chooses four individuals each year, one from the Order of Nunavut Advisory Council and five from the public, to investigate or support new ideas, initiatives or organizations that benefit Nunavut. The Director-General can delegate authority to certain members of the Advisory Council and to other persons, including individuals with expertise in a particular area.
