If an individual opts out of The United Church of Canada's system of discovery, the person will be referred to The United Church of Canada's service of discovery or to a service which has its own process of discovery. An individual may also submit applications to the appropriate national office. For the purpose of this instruction manual, the term “service of discovery” refers to those services of discovery of individuals which are available through: the United Church of Canada, the Office of General Counsel, or the Office of Special Advocate.
