A copy of the Application for a City Building Permit which will be submitted when the application is approved; 4. The following documents will be required in addition to the documents provided at the time of application: A copy of the applicant's current insurance (including flood insurance). If the applicant does not hold the insurance and must obtain this prior to submitting the application, then a copy of the applicant's insurance policy or a copy of the applicant's policy or the equivalent information must be provided to the Building Permit Department.
A copy of the owner's current lease or a lease equivalent document. This document may be a lease agreement and the copies must be available, or the lease must be available. The cost of this document will be calculated based on the length of lease or equivalent document.
A copy of the site plan(s) that will be submitted with the application.
A copy of the applicant's building permit(s) from the city department to which the application is being submitted.
A copy of any necessary application fees or deposits.
A copy of all supporting documentation and the original of the approval letter of the Building Permit Department.
A brief summary (no more than 500 words) of the following: Applicant's name and contact information including email address;
The type of project proposed; and,
Type of use or residence.
The site plan details;
Location, address, nature and description of the proposed project(s); and,
Plans and documents necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable building requirements (including fire and fire safety requirements).
Any additional items which will assist the Building Permit Department in its review.
Applicants are required to provide a copy of these reports to staff no earlier than 2 working days prior to the scheduled completion date.
