Bids will be accepted through the provincial government of Saskatchewan (the awarding body). Each bid is awarded on a sliding scale based upon the number of entries received (including the total number of bids on all offers submitted). To be successful, an international sport event must be hosted by Saskatchewan. Each bid is assigned a price (by the awarding body) based on: The amount it will cost to host it; The number (with one exception) of teams expected to participate in the event and the number of days of work required based on the number of days that the event will take place; and, The number of days of play expected based on number of teams expected to participate. The award percentage will vary based on: The total amount paid to bid for the event; and, The number of bids received. The awarding body may request the awarding body to make changes to its bids as it deems necessary to accommodate bids from other jurisdictions. In some cases, the awarding body may require that a bid be rescinded or a competing bid or bids be re-submitted to the awarding body prior to final decision. An international sport event must be hosted within Saskatchewan and held as part of any major international conference or other international meeting or series. Each bid must include an assurance to the awarding body that the event will not be held in Canada, or in an international border location in Canada, by individuals or entities who have non-Canadian ties that would impair the integrity of the event or its results. The awarding body will assess each bid, including eligibility of the awarding body to bid, against the criteria stated in subparagraphs (a), (b) and (c) as applicable to an international sport event that may be held by the same entity. For the purpose of subparagraphs (a) and (b), the awarding body may include the names of entities other than an international sporting association of which a Saskatchewan individual is the president or secretary-treasurer. Where an international sport event would take place in Saskatchewan, the awarding body may include an assurance that the bidding entity will not participate in its administration or management, provide any services that could facilitate the bidding entity's participation in that entity's administration or management activities, or conduct or own any property (including a sporting facility or facilities), equipment, buildings, equipment, vehicles, or equipment related to the bidding entity's administration or management.
