They have gone from living in a tiny trailer to a spacious two-storey houses, from taking a bus to and from the camp on the weekends, to spending their mornings with other campers at a local restaurant to going home to their two children. They spend nights back at the camp in their little cabins. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to learn to cook, to be out in community, to make new friends, and all the other things they wouldn't have been allowed to do if they had just stayed at Home Base. Many of them end up staying throughout the year after their summer camps are over. We look forward to seeing them and their families on September 17 and 18, 2019 — just like us. Winter Camp 2019 Winter Camp is now in its 5th year! The mission continues to be to provide an environment that is safe, fun and challenging. This year the camp is being held on Christmas day, December 25th, just about a week before Christmas. Please make sure your child is up to the standards set by the program and the law. The cost of the event is the same as every year: two days of camp for two kids. Please make sure that you are willing and able to make it. The location for camp on this year's date is at Winter Lakes Recreation Center in Haldane, ON.
