For years, many have wondered, why does White (or his son) have such a great respect and love for the City ? Well, the City is his childhood home, and it remains, to the day, a place of celebration, joy and deep love. It is also where he raised his children and where on Christmas Eve it was his childhood friends that he used to play golf at Santa Claus Point in Boulder Canyon. This was his place, a beautiful old house and grounds, surrounded by the Boulder Canyon, to which the public could go to see the Christmas celebration and the Colorado Avalanche. The marker is to honor him as a man of honor, character and deep friendship. On behalf of the general membership, the Board of Directors of the FFA extends its deepest gratitude and respect to Dr. White for this great honor. The FFA Board voted unanimously to honor both the man and the family by building a stone and glass marker in his hometown on December 4. A public dedication will be held at a later date. Dr. White's daughter, Lisa, was on the Board of the FFA when she was elected Director of the FFA in 1995. She will be the official personification of Dr. White as the person the FFA will hold up as a role model and as a shining example for the men on the Board, the general membership, and anyone who wishes to look for answers, to solve their own problems, and bring about a positive change. If you know of a friend, fellow club member, member of the public or a visitor to Boulder that has a love of the place, a passion for life here, would like to share with us his or her story of love, joy and wonder, the best thing that could happen to them during this time is a visit to the White home.
