Overview There are three general categories: (1) applications for financial support in the form of grants for local community development; (2) applications for financial support in the form of loans to local community development; and (3) applications for funding of projects. When funding of a project is provided through one of these methods, it is referred to as an 'operating grant' 2. Information for Applicants All applicants are required to provide a list of all other applicants to whom they have provided financial support, in the form of grants or loans. The list must include the applicant's name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and address where the grant was provided. A list of other applicants must also be provided as part of the application process, if so requested by the Department. However, it is not mandatory, and applicants who are not in receipt of funding may voluntarily provide this information to the Directorate 3. How to apply to the Civil Justice Unit The Directorate of Civil Justice grants operating grants to Local Authorities (hereafter referred to as Local Authorities) in the form of grants or loans and is responsible for the administration of the grants in relation to their use. The Directorate is also responsible for the application stage, where the applicant must complete an application form for that year. Please see instructions on supporting documentation below for the application stage 4.
