The Congress has evolved into an international forum for European experts to exchange and disseminate knowledge in the health and aging domains. This year, we are pleased to present our 20th COPRA in Milan Italy at the International Convention Center on Vienna, San Gimignano — 1st, 21st March 2010. We have chosen Italy to take this opportunity. Italy is a country with the highest number of aged people worldwide, it has one of the most active health systems and is renowned for its medical research and innovation. Moreover, Italians feel it is necessary to promote the importance of the sciences in aging, research from Italy is cited in scientific journals more often then from any other country in the world. The Italian government and the European Union has recognized the importance of longevity research and therefore the International Commission of the Prevention of Aging Scientific Program provides financial support for basic research and the establishment of European basic and clinical research centers. The Italian government and the EPP ESP also provide the opportunity of promoting European research and awareness on how age related diseases and disabilities can be prevented at a community level. We thank you for your interest in the Society of European Aging and, as members of the public, the public at large. The ESAA is particularly focused of the prevention of cognitive and developmental changes with an eye on prevention and early intervention in aging. The Society of European Aging is an organization dedicated to research, advocacy, public awareness and education. The European Society of Preventive Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine. Christos C. Bouzoukis, MD, FACE Med University of Athens Prof Christos C. Bouzoukis of the Department of Medicine of Med University of Athens, Greece, is a senior researcher in the Group of Medicine Sciences of Med University of Athens. He is a specialist in aging, with a special emphasis on diseases associated with aging. Dr. Bouzoukis was a member of the Senior Scientific Team from 2002 to 2007 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Among other things, Dr. Bouzoukis led on the development of the US National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health's research program into aging and cognitive decline. In addition, Dr. Bouzoukis has published numerous articles on aging with broad interest.
