For the prior year's outstanding contribution to the Pharmacy profession for the benefit of pharmacy students, for her exceptional leadership in her role as Pharmacy professor and the Pharmacy faculty at St. John's during the last academic year, for her contribution to the growth and expansion of the Pharmacy program at St. John's University, and for promoting the promotion of the Pharmacy program within the Newfoundland & Labrador Ministry of Health and the Pharmacy Association, to include the awarding of a grant on her behalf. This grant is in the amount of 5000 and is intended to help with the costs of producing a special presentation for the Pharmacy student association. 2. For her exceptional contribution to the promotion of the Pharmacy program within the Department's Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chemistry Research Lab (Harm. DDHC), for her significant work in support of Ph.D. students, for her outstanding leadership on the Drug Discovery Council of Newfoundland and Labrador, and for her participation in the development of an innovative program for Pharmacy students which was launched in May 2002. 3. For her exceptional contribution to the professional management of St. John's and for her contributions to the promotion of the Pharmacy program within the Department, including working with the Pharmacy faculty, faculty of pharmacy students, and pharmacy residents to implement pharmacy students in the professional management of pharmacists. (This award is intended to allow St. John's pharmacy students the opportunity to pursue research opportunities in professional management; it is not intended to be a career-defining award. No stipend or salary is to be offered to St. John's pharmacy students for their part in this award.) 4. For her participation in the development of a national strategic plan for education in a healthcare profession, for her contributions to the development of the national strategy, and for her activities regarding the National Pharmacy Program for Newfoundland and Labrador for the past five year. (This award is intended to be available to students in Newfoundland and Labrador who have demonstrated a significant commitment of two years' time during postsecondary education related to this national plan for education in a Health Professional occupation.
