After the first day of school, school systems may begin the release of student information from the day a student enrolls. School systems must give parents or guardian 24 hrs. Notice, in writing, that student information has been released to an outside source (such as a school newspaper, state agency, etc.). All parents, guardians or guardians of a student may petition for their child's records to be released to other persons for non-identifying information (such as name, date of birth, address, social security number, etc.) through the “Student Information Request” process (which can be accessed by logging in to the Registrar's Student Records portal on or after the first day of school).
