1st Round 2nd Round 4 3rd Round Bouts are open to all registered boxers aged 14 + with a Minimum age of 13 and a Maximum weight of 56 kg. Boxers competing over 40 kg will be declared 'Overweight'.  The Scottish Youth Amateur Boxing Championship runs for four days and is an opportunity for Scottish amateur boxers to compete in a well organized amateur boxing event, as well as compete against a great number of international amateur boxers from a wide range of countries.   It will be the opportunity to take part in national and international amateur boxing events. The Scottish Youth Amateur Boxing Championship is run by Box works, an organization created by the Scottish Amateur Boxing Federation (ABF) and the Scottish Amateur Boxing Association. The Championship provides Scottish boxers the chance for recognition, as well as the competition they've been looking for.  Box works will administer the Scottish Youth Amateur Boxing Championship, under the overall management of Scottish Amateur Boxing Committee. Box works is a not for profit organization created for the purposes of maintaining and developing amateur boxing and working to secure participation and development within the sport of boxing. Box works has been developed through the efforts not only by Scottish amateur boxing but also by the Scottish Amateur Boxing Committee which in turn have been assisted by Scottish amateur Boxing Association.  Box works will be the organizer of the Scottish Youth Amateur Boxing Championship (SYNC). Box works was established in the Scottish Amateur Boxing Championships (SCAC) in May 2007. Following this there were two years of successful operation, but as a result of many problems were caused to Box works due to the nature of the events and the lack of organization of the sport by the organization and the various amateur boxing bodies involved. Box works will be taking over the management of the Sync.  Sync is the Scottish Amateur Boxing Championships, Scottish Youth Amateur Boxing Championship. The 2014 Scottish Youth Amateur Boxing Championship will be held at the St Andrew's Event Center in Dundee, and it will be the 12th SYNC. The championships will open on the 20th February, with the First Round competition to run on the evening of 24th February 2014.  The Box works Sync is the culmination of over one year of work by the Scottish Amateur Boxing Committee and Scottish Amateur Boxing Association. It will enable Scottish amateur boxers to compete against each other in a well-organised event to a competitive standard.
