Application Form The following form covers all the following needs: Protecting West Lindsey Heritage The Department of Parks & Recreation, in conjunction with the West Lindsey Community Association, the West Lindsey Borough Parks Advisory Committee and West Lindsey Heritage Preservation Society, has been working since 1995 to safeguard the cultural heritage of West Lindsey by building the West Lindsey Historical District Park and to encourage the preservation of other local and regional properties. We've created an active public participation process through our Parks Advisory Committees in which residents have had an opportunity to actively participate in planning, design and construction of public spaces, building amenities, community events, and volunteer programming. We have also provided volunteers with a great deal of training on park upkeep and on what it means to be a preservationist and why it is important to preserve and develop our heritage. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce the selection of “The Heritage of West Lindsey” mural to be featured in West Lindsey High School's gym. The mural was awarded the prestigious 2015 mural competition sponsored by West Lindsey Historical Society, an East Central Pennsylvania based organization dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of our borough and to promoting the public education and appreciation of our history and heritage. The mural will create a physical barrier between North St. Joseph High School and the West Lindsey Historical District Park.
