Horses should be fed with water at a rate of 1 L per hour. If the stall is not cleaned and the water is not changed it can create a breeding problem. The stall should be cleaned regularly by the stall inspector and/or the CMO. Horses are not allowed to remain in the stall for more than 30 minutes per day. If horses have to be rehomed they must be neutered or spayed. The stall should be kept clean and disinfected. Horses that have to be rehomed must be vaccinated and vaccinated against rabies. The same rules also apply to the stalls for feeding stations, water barrels and fuel stoves. Horse stalls must be covered with a tarpaulin or canvas (no other materials). Horses must be able to stand comfortably. The stall should be cleaned at least once a week and disinfected or disinfected at least twice a week. Horses are not allowed to remain in the stall for more than 90 minutes per day. If horses should have any medical problems they must be treated at the event. The inspector will be informed of all medical and veterinary issues as they arise. ALL FEI Organizations MUST APPROVE OF ALL EVENTING COSTS TO BE PAID BY THE RACE COURSES, the CMO or the ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIETY and take all necessary measures to prevent any breach of all above rules. If a fee has not been obtained prior to the event the fees will be refunded. This fee does NOT extend to costs for horse training, veterinary treatment or insurance. This includes the fee paid to the ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIETY for registration at any time. No Horse Training Fees are applicable for any horses entering the event on behalf of the ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIETY. If any horse is entered in the event for more than one ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIETY registration in one ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIETY will not be accepted. There will be no horse races scheduled for the event unless there is an event in progress for which a prize is offered for the winner.
Please note that if horses and feeders are left unattended, they may become 'unattended'. Any horses that run away are liable to be fined and may be evicted from the venue and will not be allowed back unless they are rehomed.
