Rift comes with three types of actions you can use to produce your content:

The motion of the camera can also be adjusted by selecting one of the three different action types (rotate left, rotate right, twist). It is even possible to spin around 360 degrees in the vertical direction. These rotations work in both the right and left eye.
VR Views
Rift comes with a View plugin. It is a special view inside which a wide field, with the view in 3D, of the viewer's position can be produced. This is extremely useful for tracking applications.
Rift 2.0 and later
In Rift 2.0, an action can be created directly from a VR view
If the object being tracked is in Rift view, then the VR View automatically moves the tracker along the direction of the moving objects, so the same behavior can be used for tracking controllers.
Rift 2.1 and later
If a VR view is defined, then a Rift action is required.
