Jacob, Dept. of Philosophy Department of Philosophy, University of Cologne, PO Box 1223, 2081 Wolfsburg, GERMANY. () This manuscript is a manuscript proposal of a joint dissertation. Abstract of the present version of the proposal submitted as submitted to: Max H. Jacob, Director, University of Cologne, PO Box 1223, 2081 Wolfsburg, GERMANY. The dissertation will be a dissertation (Ph.D.) on a subject relevant to the work and research of the Institute for Philosophy of the Higher Education. The doctoral thesis must have been written after January 1, 2017. The dissertation will be about an independent project (for one or more courses) on philosophy and scientific methodology and on the research in philosophy, the practice of philosophy, and new ways of philosophy. It must cover a large part of the work of the Institute for Philosophy of the Higher Education. This is an interdisciplinary PhD research and training program for the philosophy of science and for the research in philosophy. The Program emphasizes philosophical research on the science that is based on scientific theories of the past. The dissertation is planned as a multi-disciplinary project covering all phases of the program; for example, theoretical philosophical research on the nature and possibility of scientific knowledge; theoretical and empirical philosophical research on the relationship between philosophy and science, and on the philosophy of science and the nature and prospects for a more mature philosophy of science. The dissertation (pH. D.) project is a joint undertaking, with input from the philosophical research group in the Institute, namely the Philosophy of the Higher Education (PHE), the Philosophy of Science (PS) department, the research in philosophy (RPA)/philosophy of the philosophy of science (PHS), and the research in the philosophy of science (PAY). It must have an interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary character based on the work of the Institute of Philosophy. The Joint Program (JP) offers a new perspective on the philosophy of science. It promotes new scientific hypotheses towards the philosophy of science through the interaction of theoretical philosophy and the research in the philosophy of science.
