Aims & Scope
This module will examine the mechanisms by which cannabinoids modulate the intestinal inflammatory response and how this contributes to disease processes. The goal is to define the role of cannabinoid receptors in inflammation and to provide practical tools for understanding the physiology of inflammation and the role they play in disease.
The presentation will begin with a short historical overview of inflammation, which will include a discussion of the relationship between inflammation and disease and the role of inflammation in health conditions.
