Additional data items: Additional data items appear after you press Enter. They are displayed in the following table. If more than one item from the table is appropriate for you, complete the appropriate fields and check the box next to their corresponding areas on the chart. Items marked : These areas are required if your facility is more than 50 feet from a water supply, and if you are applying for more than 1,000. For instance, if you are applying for a grant that would cover 10,000 in site development, the area will be designated for areas of 500 feet or more from a water source. Items marked : If the above items do not address your situation, do not complete them. The EPA is not required to identify community facilities located under specific watershed boundaries. In some instances, EPA has identified community facilities based on the extent of the pollution (i.e. storm water runoff, agricultural runoff, sewage runoff, agricultural refuse, storm water, etc.) and the proximity to a potential watershed. Note that as of December 1, 2010, the EPA has decided to not identify community facilities under any of the following criteria (except those identified to comply with federal environmental regulations): — Where the wastewater discharge does not displace surface water, — Where there is no significant impact on surface water quality caused by the facility, — If the facility is not used in any major industry. (However, if you have identified a facility to comply with the Clean Water Act, an exception will apply from these requirements. Please contact EPA s Public Information Office for more information. If you do not know the name or contact information of the responsible Federal agency, ask the agency for this information to be confirmed.
