This legal gray area has created a big opportunity — Michigan's Tobacco Free Housing law offers a significant opportunity to educate the public on the benefits of smoke-free homes and the risks of tobacco and cannabis smoke. Our legal team has been developing comprehensive informational materials to be distributed to every resident in every home with a second floor unit. Smoke-Free Multiunit Housing will also be featured in all media outlets covering smoke free housing efforts because these communities are the front line in the new smoke free housing debate. We are also offering free “smoke-free guide” materials to every home with smoking second floor units! As Smoke-Free Multiunit Housing is being developed and adopted, additional resources are coming to Smoke Free Michigan and our other Smoke Free housing partners.
