With the World Cup approaching, we can see that the host countries are looking for every advantage possible in order to prepare for the big event and not being able to afford the huge increase in the price could severely affect Ghana as a country and the whole sporting event. Even though the cost of a stadium is relatively high (at least 50 million dollars) many people in Ghana are not ready to pay the hefty financial charges because they think the sports festival would be much more affordable. Unfortunately, the U.S. is trying to turn the sporting event into a business venture. So we can't use our tax break to help them for the increased expenses like paying a great amount for a stadium that could be used by many other sports including soccer or football. In fact, with the increase in the cost to host the Olympic event it isn't even worth considering hosting the World Cup. If we don't pay for the increase in the price of the event we won't get the chance to host the event. So, we need to make a proposal to have our tax break to help our soccer team win the next event to host the next World Cup. If we can convince the U.S. to raise the price of the event and the government has the finances it can help the government of Ghana to host the World Cup in 2016. A successful bid could bring many opportunities for the country during the Olympics. If we can get a reasonable increase in the cost and if the government has the money to raise the money to build the first stadium and other infrastructure in Ghana, then we can easily attract a lot of investment, including the world's biggest sports star.
