Using the ESSO-PR Server

The Enterprise Single Sign-on System
Each of the Enterprise Single Sign-on systems is built around a different set of components. The following table provides information about each of the ESSOR-PR components.
Component Description Authentication Server The system includes the Authentication Server or SIS that is responsible for performing authentication, authorization and accounting functions, and the Accounting server that provides audit reports based on the SIS. Certificate Authority The CA's that perform authentication and authorization functions in accordance with the SIS. Enterprise Portal Server The Enterprise Portal Server is a centralized service for managing single sign-on requests. Enterprise Portal services are available to all authorized users and organizations via their Enterprise Portal User accounts. Enterprise Single Sign-on Certificate The Enterprise Single Sign-on Certificate is a signed certificate that contains the server information used to sign the user credential and store it securely. The Enterprise Single Sign-on Certificate is associated with its corresponding ESSOR-PR Enterprise Single Sign-on Server.
