How to fill out knife sharpening

01
Start by selecting a suitable sharpening stone. You can choose a water stone, oil stone, or diamond stone depending on your preference.
02
Place the sharpening stone on a stable surface, such as a table or countertop, with the coarse side facing up.
03
Hold the knife firmly in one hand and place the blade at an angle of about 20 degrees against the stone.
04
Using moderate pressure, slowly slide the blade across the stone in a sweeping motion. Ensure that the entire edge of the blade makes contact with the stone.
05
Repeat this process a few times on each side of the knife until you achieve the desired sharpness. Be sure to maintain the same angle throughout.
06
After sharpening, flip the stone to the finer side and repeat the process to refine the edge of the knife.
07
Once you are satisfied with the sharpness, rinse the knife to remove any metal particles and wipe it dry.
08
Finally, test the sharpness of the knife by gently slicing through a piece of paper or a tomato. If it cuts effortlessly, your knife is now sharpened!
