To assist your local office in reviewing the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development application, it is suggested that you check to see if the U.S. Department of Education has made any requests for this data from its other federal agencies or from financial institutions outside the institution's local area (a “common file” of agencies), in order to determine how federal data may affect your institution's eligibility for expedited processing before submitting the application. The institution is advised to submit the relevant application forms by the expiration date in the Federal Register notice for that application. If IT has requested data from any financial institutions outside the institution's local area in order to establish a direct and independent relationship with the recipient of the data or with any other federal agency or other institution participating in the interagency review process, please verify its status with those agencies or participating institutions.
