About a year ago, we launched this site for the members of the Georgia Wristwatch and their visitors. We were told in no uncertain terms that this was to be a volunteer operated organization, and we're glad we can now live up to that. Since our founding in the autumn of 2003, we have met a lot of new faces from all over the country and a lot of them are now members of the National Forests in Virginia and Georgia, as well as in Florida, North Carolina, North Dakota, Montana and Minnesota. It may be a little surprising to some of our new members to learn that the forest they love — the Georgia Foothills in the North Georgia mountains — is owned by the US Forest Service. As stewards of our national forests, we have a special obligation to work hard to protect our natural resources for future generations — not to become involved and involved in corporate and industry politics. This is why we began this site and why we continue to grow and to improve. We invite YOU to join us! Donate What we're all about The Georgia Wristwatch is a NON-Profit, Volunteer organization. We are funded entirely by the members of the Georgia Wristwatch. Our activities are supported through individual donations. All dues are donated directly to the Georgia Forest Wold Watch Society. The Club office is in the Georgia Nature Society building located on the corner of 434 Hwy 12 and US Hwy 301 in Dalton, GA. (Driving Directions, Map) Our Board of Directors and Staff have done their work the hard way and have saved over 30,000.00 for a variety of projects and programs to benefit the Forests. With your help, we will continue to provide support for the members of the Georgia Wristwatch and their guests to meet, share their knowledge and their experiences, while they gather to share their appreciation for our National Forests.
