It may be called anything you like, such as contacts or proj03. We have included an example of a contact file, with the file extension .mix. We suggest names that will not be used in the rest of the class, as these are easy to change. Here is the contact file: {“name”: “David Schindler”, “dateofmarriage”: 18 November 1976, “email”: “surname”: “Schindler”, “age”: 30, “hobby”: “Music”, “phone”: “+44-(0)7865776489”} We are asking that you also do Exercise 2 in your final project in Section 4.3.4 of the text. This exercise describes the process by which a contact is created by an application. This is an example of an executable contact file, with the file extension .exe. We'll ask you to work with an executable contact file as an input format, but you are free to create your own executable contact file as well. (If you do, please note that the .exe file has the .exe extension). To begin, you will need a directory of contacts to model. We are using a directory of contacts in proj01, but it does not require an extra directory at the root, and we'll refer to the contacts from that directory as proj01. Note, however, that you cannot select the current user for the contact that you have created unless you have selected them for editing in the first place (i.e. through editing the text). To do this you can use the interactive command: contact edit proj01 You may now add some information to the directory containing your contacts. To do this adds the contents of PNL.LST, a file that you will save under a name that will be used throughout the classes. (The name must be unique amongst your files, because this is how you refer to it throughout the course). You are now ready to use your contacts in an application using the Contact class. Exercise #1: In a Class, Contact Class Contact {// Create a new contact instance and pass it to a button. PNL contact; // Select a contact (or one already filled out) by entering their name. Pnl select_next; // Add information to this contact as they enter it. Pnl insert_text(1, _); // Show your new contact on screen.
