What is Form 1023?

Form 1023 is an application that non-profit organizations must complete in order to apply for tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This form is essential for organizations that seek to receive tax-deductible donations and grants. By completing Form 1023, organizations demonstrate their eligibility and purpose to the IRS, ensuring that they meet the requirements for tax-exempt status.

What are the types of Form 1023?

There are two types of Form 1023: Form 1023-EZ and Form 1023. Form 1023-EZ is a streamlined version of the application designed for smaller organizations with less complex financial situations. It requires less documentation and is processed faster by the IRS. On the other hand, Form 1023 is a more comprehensive and detailed application that must be completed by larger organizations or those that do not qualify for the streamlined process.

I love it for the most part. Just wish I could send a document to a person without knowing their email (ex. directly to their Facebook account) with the ability to view and sign not edit the document. Other than that, it's been great!
