Save a document as a PDF on Mac On your Mac, open the document you want to save as a PDF. Choose File > Print. Click the PDF button or click the down arrow to open the PDF pop-up menu, then choose Save as PDF. Choose a name and location for the PDF file. To protect your document with a password, click Security Options.
Why Can't I Save a PDF on My Mac? You may be unable to save a PDF on your Mac if the PDF reader or editor you are using is outdated and therefore incompatible with the version of macOS running on your computer. The best solution in this case is to update the PDF tool you are using.
Save a document as a PDF on Mac On your Mac, open the document you want to save as a PDF. Choose File > Print.
