Answer to my prayers. TurboTax, IRS, other www sites gave me horrors. I started your site one day and somehow decided to leave and why I decided to go back to those other sites again was a HUGE mistake ... it all gave me horrors. I prayed again this morning and low and behold, your site was simple as apples to apples. I gave God the biggest smile and thank you for solving my nightmare to fill out the contractors 1099-misc for 2016. Late I am and was because of my health, and the contractor didn't sign the W-9 form which I had waited for which he finally emailed it to me. One question here with this form finished, do you send IRs their copy or do I need to do it myself? Pls respond a.s.a.p., I want to send it today if I need to do this. Thanks, Janet Mac Neal

Rational, easy to understand and accept reasons for leaving your job: You are looking for better career prospects, professional growth and work opportunities. You want a change in career direction. You are looking for new challenges at work.
You should never position it as fleeing from a bad opportunity. Your interviewer wants to feel like her company is wooing you away from your current employer. The ideal answer from their perspective: You are only thinking about leaving because this new opportunity (and the company offering it) is just SO awesome.
I was offered a promotion at another company. Your past employers can't always offer the ideal next step for your career when you're ready. Leaving to advance your career is a common reason and this won't be the first time the interviewer has heard it. So if another company offered a promotion, just say so.
Avoid Negativity. Try to focus on the positive reasons you left your position. ... Be Honest. ... Practice, Practice, Practice. ... Look Forward. ... Consult an Expert to Learn More.
Learn about your career goals and how this position fits into your plan. Make sure that you are sincerely interested in the job and will be motivated to perform if hired. Find out what you know about the company, industry, position (and if you took the time to research)
A short explanation of why you are resigning When explaining why you are quitting your job, it's OK to keep things general and say something like, I am leaving to accept a position at another company.
Give two weeks notice (if possible). ... Tell your boss in person. ... Keep it positive, or neutral. ... Keep it brief. ... Offer to help with the transition. ... Write a resignation letter. ... Say goodbye to coworkers.

Talk to your supervisor. The best way to quit a job over the phone is to call your supervisor and say very simply that you are quitting.
If you quit your job it's going to look bad on your CV and your career will take a hit. ... In fact, the longer you stay, the more you lose the energy, motivation and self-confidence you need to advance your career. Truth #2: Sometimes quitting is the best thing you can do for your career.
