Can you extend the due date?
It's not idiomatically correct to say “extend the due date”: it's a date which, like a number, is inherently not extensible. You can change or delay or defer the due date, but taken literally that would only mean changing to a different day. You can deal with both of these issues by using deadline rather than due date.
Is it possible to extend the deadline?
You could write “extend the due date” or “move out the due date.” “Due date” sounds a bit less final than “deadline.”
How do I ask for an extension of deadline?
Determine deadline importance. Decide how to ask. Provide a specific reason. Show your dedication. Offer to share your progress. Set a reasonable new deadline. Show gratitude.
How do I write an extension letter for deadline?
Use a formal and polite tone. Acknowledge the inconvenience caused and if possible, offer to help and rectify the situation. Give a genuine, valid reason. Apologize, but not too much as it makes the reason seem irrelevant or false. Be factual and concise.
Can I extend my internship?

Is the tax deadline for 2020 extended?
